FILMMAKER

Job Summary

 

Albus Studios Ltd is looking for a talented filmmaker to join our award-winning team. Working across editorial, commercial, documentary, events and drama, our clients include some of the largest global media agencies as well as brand direct collaborations and independent productions. Applicants will have a creative flare, be highly motivated to create high-impact films and be willing to experiment and push boundaries to continue to deliver exceptional content.  

 

Working closely with our Director and Producer, you will be responsible for delivering long-form videos, social media edits and reels, delivering client and creative work, as well as continuously promoting Albus Studios’ offering.

 

We are a small team, looking to expand rapidly in the next few years, and with this growth, you will be in a prominent position to grow with us. Applicants will be ambitious for professional development, and will be instrumental in Albus Studios continued success.

 

As a small team, we have a strong emphasis on collaboration and open and honest communication. You will be encouraged to give regular feedback, find new and improved processes, as well as new and exciting opportunities for Albus Studios. 

 

Location 

 

Mostly remote with regular access to Bracknell (Albus Studios base) and candidates will be willing to travel for shoots. 

 

Working hours

 

Monday to Friday with possibility of weekend work (time off in lieu). Hours vary on a project basis. 

 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Report into our Company Director - Creative Producer.

  • Attend and/or film video content (specific responsibilities will be dependent on experience).

  • Editing video content within the scoped timelines given. 

  • Creating social media videos for projects, to help promote Albus Studios across social channels and any other video production related tasks as requested by Producer/Director.

  • Archiving footage and edits.

  • Working collaboratively with all team members and freelancers.

  • Provide support on other team member’s projects at any stage of post production.

  • Some client-facing responsibilities, liaising with our clients on feedback and upcoming work. 

  • Bringing in new opportunities and clients for Albus Studios (commission opportunities available). 

 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Automotive videography/editing experience ideal

  • Excellent sound design skills

  • Experience working in a fast pace, high pressure environment 

  • Exceptional time management skills

  • Patience in challenging projects

  • Experienced using a variety of cinematic cameras ideal

  • Drone experience, or eagerness to train

  • Collaboration skills

  • Proficient in Adobe suite

  • Proficient in Davinci Resolve

  • Problem solving skills

  • A showreel of your work - with clear explanations of your role throughout

  • Full clean UK driving licence

  • Car to use for work purposes ideal

 

Salary and Benefits

 

Example junior to mid-weight filmmaker: £20-30k depending on experience, either full time or part time pro rated. 

Salary and contract are negotiable and we are open to long term retainers as well as full time and part time contracts.
